Straight answers on cost, timing, housing and who does what. If yours is not here, ask us directly.

01What does it cost us as an employer?

[CONFIRM: final employer pricing statement]

02How far in advance should we start?

As early as possible: sponsor approval, recruitment and visa steps all take weeks.

  2. RecruitmentSourcing and double screening

  4. ArrivalHousing confirmed first
03Who is the legal employer?

You are. You hire participants directly and pay their wages. The sponsor vets and approves you; GAVA never employs participants.

04Do we have to provide housing?

Either provide it or commit in writing to actively help participants secure it. Either way, housing is confirmed before anyone travels.

05Which roles and industries qualify?

Seasonal operational roles (Work & Travel) and structured training roles (Internship/Trainee). We check every role before we recruit.

These do not qualify
  • Roles that need a license or driving
  • Domestic work
  • Patient care
  • Hazardous work
  • Mainly overnight shifts
06What if a visa is denied or someone drops out?

We tell you right away and offer a replacement from our waitlist or pipeline.

07What is the difference between Work & Travel and Internship/Trainee?

Work & Travel fills seasonal operational roles with full-time post-secondary students during their academic break. Internship and Trainee programs place students, recent graduates or experienced professionals in structured training roles that follow a written training plan.
